How Much Is a Funeral.

Every funeral home. Their own posted prices. Dated and sourced.

Editorial policy

How we work, in one page.

Prices come from each funeral home’s own posted general price list. Every number links to the original document with the date it took effect. If we don’t have a current list for a provider, we say so instead of guessing. Corrections are dated and stay on the record. This site takes no advertising, no referral fees, and no payment for placement.

Method

We read the provider’s own posted general price list. No estimates, no averages of averages, and no numbers a person has not checked. A licensed funeral professional reviews every assembled figure against the document before it is published. Prices are rounded on purpose, because these are ballparks for comparing homes, not quotes. Only the funeral home can give you a quote.

Sources

Every number links to the document we read, with the date it took effect and the date we last checked it. Guides cite the actual statute or form. We identify ourselves honestly when we collect. No mystery shopping. Automated collection uses an honest user agent and a contact address, respects robots.txt, and rate-limits politely.

Revisions

Corrections are dated and stay on the record. Nothing is quietly swapped. If a price or a fact here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change.

Funding

No ads. No referral fees. No sponsored listings, ever. The governing rule is that nothing a provider pays for is ever visible to a family. That means, permanently:

  • No promoted placement. No provider can pay to appear higher, larger, or first.
  • No lead generation. We never sell a family’s contact information to anyone.
  • No referral fees from providers. Not once, not as a thank-you, not as a discount.
  • No provider-supplied marketing copy or photos. Listings show facts we collected, with sources and dates.
  • Claiming a listing is free, exists only to correct facts, and never affects ranking or presentation.
